Before you apply
- The threshold is tiered: employees need $3,500/month, but BUSINESS OWNERS need $5,000/month plus a company operating for at least a year.
- Since January 2026 you must show SIX months of bank statements, not three. Recent job-changers and new freelancers cannot yet file.
- The visa is void if you stay outside the UAE for more than 6 consecutive months. This is a residence visa, not a flexible nomad pass.
