Before you apply
- Armenia has NO digital nomad visa, and NO minimum income anywhere in its rules. Any figure you see quoted (including the $1,500/month we used to show) is invented.
- Most nationalities — including UKRAINE under a bilateral agreement, plus the EU, US, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan and South Korea — can simply enter VISA-FREE and work remotely for up to 180 days a year. No application, no fee, no income test.
- The 180 days are counted PER YEAR and cumulatively, not per entry. Border runs do NOT reset the clock. To stay longer, take the residence permit instead of trying to game the count — overstaying draws fines of AMD 50,000–100,000 and can end in deportation.
- To stay beyond 180 days you register as a PRIVATE ENTREPRENEUR (sole proprietor) and apply for a 1-year residence permit on that basis (~$266), renewable — or a 5-year permit if you keep the business running. There is still no income requirement.
- An immigration law overhaul is expected in November 2026, and electronic filing becomes mandatory from 1 August 2026. Check before you plan.
