Before you apply
- Income is USD 3,000/month for a single applicant, rising to USD 4,000/month if you include dependents.
- Foreign income is fully exempt from Costa Rican tax and you're not treated as a tax resident — but it's a stay (estancia), not a residency, and does not count toward PR. Max 2 years.
