Before you apply
- The visa is FREE and lasts a renewable year — but tax is the catch: money you deposit into a Mauritian bank account is taxable unless you declare tax was already paid abroad. Spending via foreign cards is fine.
- Staying over ~183 days triggers tax residency. You cannot enter the local labour market — income must be sourced outside Mauritius.
- USD 1,500/month per adult applicant, plus USD 500/month per dependent child. Ukraine is on the eligible-nationalities annex, so Ukrainians can apply before arrival.
