Before you apply

• Open to every nationality — there is no passport allow-list. Ukrainians qualify, and they enter El Salvador visa-free (90 days, USD 12 tourist card), so you can file in-country after arrival or at a consulate abroad.
• Foreign income is not taxed. El Salvador uses a territorial system: earnings from foreign clients or employers stay exempt from Salvadoran income tax even after 183 days makes you a tax resident. Only locally-sourced income is taxed. Your home country's rules still apply.
• Not a path to permanent residence: the digital nomad visa itself does not lead to PR. Permanent residence needs 5 consecutive years on a separate residence track.
• Income is USD 1,460/month for a single applicant and rises with dependents; El Salvador has not published the exact per-dependent increment.
• El Salvador has not published a standalone official page with the income figure — USD 1,460 is cross-checked across consistent 2025–2026 immigration trackers, while the official RREE portal confirms the visa framework and that Ukraine is a listed nationality.
